WELCOME TO KIM "MiGKY" WONG MiG-21 COLLECTION
This blog tracks the journey I started in 1999, on a "crazy" personal attempt to have the world's largest A-Z collection of 1/32 MiG-21 model for my private gallery. It records
my collection and work progress, but also kind of self motivational boost to see a bigger picture of everything in place here. Love to take you along on this supersonic journey on turning my childhood's dream into a reality. If you are new to MiG-21 or a fanatic, I hope you will find this blog very inspiring, exciting and resourceful. Thank you for visiting my blog and referring it to other MiG-21 fans.

MiG-21UM @ SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

Fighter World Museum, Williamstown, NSW, Australia - 26-2-2011

I heard about this museum when I was a student in NSW back in the 80s - 90s. However, I was just too lazy to drop by as the venue is off the main roads and 2 hours drive from Sydney. This year, I decided to see the museum on the way to seaside resort The Entrance, for fishing with my family. Not easy to locate. You need a GPS to find this place which is near the RAAF's Williamstown AB!
Here to see a MiG-21 UM (double seater), a exchange gift from the Indian Air Force to RAAF, for a Mirage IIIEO. This MiG-21UM is very well preserved in the very pack hangar.
Worth the trip to see this unique bird.

Here is the FighterWorld Museum (RAAF)
An Indian Air Force's MiG-21UM in a sardine pack hangar.
A thumb-up for a lucky me to be next to a MiG-21UM
A good comparison of the MiG-21 vs Mirage III
The cockpit interior of the MiG-21UM
The backside part of the MiG21UM. A big black hole!
